Engage Me or Enrage Me

Have to say that I am enraged by this Mr P. It goes extreme. I agree that teaching should be engaging, using interesting content, with the assist of technology, however, what's this GAME-CENTRED theory is about? So everything should be taught in some sort of computer game? It's scary when I think about that in Mr P's world, my kids would never know how to use a pen and pencil to write on a piece of paper, that they would always demand to be entertained, that it is always others' fault if they cannot learn or they do not want to study hard, that they always wanted to be praised, that their ego get so large that everyday they just want to be a celebraty, they want to be Justin Bieber, they want to be One Direction, they want everything, NOW.  It's scary to think about our world would really become that movie Surrogates, that there would be no social physical contact. Mr P claims fact, so where does his fact derive from? On how many individuale investigation? Or just what he himself has heard? I want the truth, not just the truth in the States, how about other countries?
It's very frustrating for us teachers or teachers to teach. Because everybody, every 'EXPERT'   has their own ideas how we should teach, and some definitely goes extreme.
Learning is not just about playing computer games, getting satisfaction from completing a computer game, it's more about social, to KNOW PEOPLE and to KNOW THIS WORLD. This world is not just city culture, there is beautiful country, nature, wonderful people out there, who might not have a clue about high technology stuff. What should students do in a classroom apart from learning facts? They social, they do team work, they have eye contact, they have physical touch, they laugh, they hear each other talking, they see each other, then they understand this world  IS NOT JUST ABOUT THEMSELVES. That's how we teach them  LOVE.
Sorry, Mr P, if you want to sit at the back row with your headphone on in my class, you might as well just go home and think about your behaviour, or have your parents think about what manner they should teach you. Because it is just  PURE RUDE!
