Sir Ken Robison's speech

I was listening to Sir Ken Robinson's speech the second time in the kitchn while I was preparing pizza for dinner. I just love this man, don't you? I cannot agree with him more about what he said at the end, that 'our
Our education system has mined our minds in the way that we strip-mine the earth, for a particular commodity, and for the future, it won't serve us. We have to rethink the fundamental principles on which we're educating our children.' While we are arguing about how to 'please' the children in the classroom, isn't it more import that we put more time thinking about what and how we should educate them about the fundamental moralities and attitude towards life? Shouldn't we make sure that a tree is growing straight before worrying about trimming it?
