Came across some similar test back in 2004 when I was working for a private vocational school as an education consultant for senior students in Shanghai China. Remember that used to talk to students about their learning style and how they should improve it. Somehow didn't get to do it myself back then. Yesterday had a chance to find out my own learning style, apart finding out that the test used then was only part of the original test, I also find out my own learning style.
Netural as for ACTIVE / REFLECTIVE Slightly SENSING than INTUITIVE
Extremely VISUAL than VERBAL Moderately more SEQUENTIAL than GLOBAL
The test is quite right I have to say. However, somehow forty some quiz probably is not quite enough to find our exact style of learning. It can only be a rough guide. I think somehow learning style can also be affected by the study climate at the time. Although I myself is a visual learner than verbal learner, I find that if the teacher is interesting enough, I learn well even if he/she just talks through the class. Just like I enjoy listening/wathcing the TV program INSIGHT. I am watching, but it has nothing to do with the actual information and idea that I am getting.
I also wonder if learning style also has anything to do with our intelligence? I somehow agree with Howard Gardner that intelligence can be categorised into 8 areas. I wonder how our learning style is affecting our intelligence or if it does impact on our intelligence?
