Some thoughts about Group 4 tools

Learning Objects Online focus on bringing real life situations into classroom and would certainly impress those learners who are more active and sensing. Like working together online to solve a crime case, or going through a medical operation, or merely going through an online lesson on how to dissect a frog, Learning Objects online are fantastic learning resources which connect knowledge with real world issues. I am very impressed by the resources available there online so far. Of course there are spaces for improvement, like to make the animation more real or putting in more interactive activities. Our government should really invest more money into developing these online learning resources.

I haven’t been able to learn much about Adobe Flash due to lack of time. But there is potential in using it, making game like education activities for the students.

I tried to use the timelines tool Dipity but didn’t manage to get finish. I think I can use it in LOTE teaching class to teach time, from o’clock, to morning / afternoon / evening, to days of the week, to date of the month, to month of the year and to the year. It can also be used to assess students learning outcome.
