Mind mapping - declaritive knowledge and procedural knowledge

MIND MAP FOR FOOD VOCABULARY IN CHINESE

I did a mind map of the food vocabulary in Chinese. It is quite helpful when used at the end of a period study to group all the new vocabulary students have learned. Because of the systematic design of the mind map, is will help retrieve all the relative vocabulary from the learners and help them to memorise the declaritive knowledge. As we know that memorising plays a huge role when learners are acquring declaritive knowledge.

HOW TO COOK FRY RICE
The second mind map I did is how to cook Chinese fry rice - procedural knowledge. As I put all the steps in the mind map, it  makes it really clear for the leaners and will help the leaners CONSTRUCT MODELS for this knowledge. As we all know that CONSTRUCT MODELS is the first step of ACQUIRE & INTEGRATE KNOWLEDGE.

My conclusion is that when used wisely and appropriately, mind mapping can be very useful when helping students memorising declaritive knowledge and acquiring procedural knowledge.
